The hotel is very simple and pleasant. The location is ideal. The staff is from Ukranian monastery located in Brasil.
The breakfast is of the kind I do not eat. Instant coffee, bread, jams
The location of the hotel was perfect.
The check out time is 9:00 in the morning. It's too early. The entrance to the hotel is closed at 12:00(midnight).If you're late you can't get in.
This hotel is located in an excellent spot - just a few blocks from the Coliseum, right next to the beautiful piazza, restaurants, and shops. It is also just a few steps away from a wonderful church. The room was good size and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk manager gave great recommendation regarding the dining and sightseeing. This hotel has an excellent value for the price, especially because of its location.
The main concern is that this hotel closes exactly at midnight! I thought it would not be a problem for me, but when I arrived in Rome, I realized that I would like to enjoy the night life, and coming back to the hotel by midnight adds a little stress to my vacation. However, I felt safer in the same time, because nobody was allowed to enter the hotel at night, which was important for me since I was traveling alone. The other minor complaint is the size of the shower - it was very small (even for a slim girl) and the absence of any bathroom supplies (no shampoo or shower gel was provided). Also, the breakfast was very basic, but good.
The location was very nice - you make just a few steps from the hotel and you see the Colosseum! Hence the metro station is very close - maybe the Cavour is even closer. And you can choose different path every time you go to/from the hotel - so you can explore the city. I almost never used local transportation. The stuff was really nice, thought their english level varied from little to none. I was surprised to see women in religious closing at the reception and religious pictures and painting everywhere, but I did not mind. There is also a chirch next door. They didn't charge me tax 10% and 2 euro as it is stated in hotel description, I do not know if it was their rule or mistake. Be aware that the breakfast is from 8 to 9 only and they close the main door at midnight.
Just some minor flaws. The shower was really narrow - even for a slim girl, and the tap was located really unconvenient - so I accidentally switched it on/off all the time. Also the noise - they have a nice "piazza" in front of the hotel, which gets quite noisy at evenings because a lot of people gather there. I was given a choice between rooms facing the square and the yard, though I've chosen the latter, it was quite noisy too - mostly because of a disturbing sound of elevator.
Situated in a lively, bustling little square so you always felt in the centre of Rome. Just down the road from the Colisseum, the Forum and the main historic centre of Rome. Everything was within walking distance but the metro, if you needed it, was just up the road. Convenience of shops and little general stores. Everything felt very safe. Nowhere else would give me this value for money.
It was very basic with no frills at all! There was no television either in the room or in the lounge area so felt cut off from the news of the world. Fixed breakfast time and curfew meant that you had to be very organised and couldn't take the luxury of a lie in. None of these things were really important though and did not spoil the holiday. They would not stop me from staying here again.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean quiet room, excellent location, nice breakfast room with adequate continental breakfast buffet. Excellent value for your money in the heart of Rome. Free wireless internet provided in the lobby, and you can keep your valuables in the office safe.
The hotel fronts onto a vibrant, but noisy square. If you want a quiet room, ask for one overlooking the inner courtyard. It was very quiet. It was not a problem for me, but they lock the outer doors at midnight, so you need to be back before then.
Location 1 step from Colloseum
Curfew- I had to be back to my room back to midnight so I deceided to change the hotel
Staff very friendly.
People in piazza were very noisey at night making it hard to sleep.
By central Rome standards this is very good value for money. The room was fine, you get what you pay for. Not far from the main attactions and only a couple minutes from the Cavour Metro station. Free WiFi downstairs which is really good to have these days.
When I arrived I was given the choice of whether I wanted to sleep over- looking the fountain and bars outside, or sleep at the back. I chose the fountain for the nice view. Little did I know that from 8pm till 2am this bars and the fountain area are full and if you are a light sleeper you won be getting much sleep. The staff are friendly but the language barrier can be an issue.
Very convienient location, very close to the Colosseum. Quiet, comfortable, great if you are sightseeing and dont plan to spend time in your room.
No TV no A/C
The hotel has excellent location few minutes walking from the Colliseum and a subway station. In front of the hotel there is a nice fountain there young romans prefer to relax and have a drink. Nice atmosphere. The room was not large but very comfortable. It's a bit noisy if you're old enough or travelling with kids but if have no sleeping problems this noise may be considered as the sound of Rome.
Breakfast a bit humble and served only during an hour between 8 and 9.
Value for the money good GREAT location
they need to put a bigger sign couldn't find it for almost 15 min.
The excellent location and friendliness of the staff.
The lack of fruit at breakfast.
Very helpful and friendly staff Convenient location with lots of sights accessible by foot Some good restaurants / pizza places near Even a little shopping street in walking distance Clean and quiet rooms
Extremelly close to all the main attractions (the Colosseum is only 400 metres far from this place), reasonable price, kind and polite stuff, everything is clean. I didn't expect that there would be no TV in the room, but it was not needed at all, cause I was too tired to see something on TV in the end of the day.
